Awesome.

I love the piano throughout the song... I see you got away from the glitch type drums, lol. Nice change of pace for you.

It's a very relaxing song... Just makes me wanna turn off all the lights and listen.

Yes, I wanted this to be more of a relaxing dancey type song, rather than the chaotic drum beats that I usually use. Thank you very much man!

Very good

Was this recorded live? It sounds very realistic... You seem to have a very good sense of melody. It almost reminds me of one of Chopin's Nocturnes, very night like in sound, mysterious, sad, and meloncholy all at the same time... This is one of those songs that I feel my heart rise in my chest as I listen. A small thing you could've done to improve the song would be to change the left-hand accompianmant every once in awhile to get away from that same triplet pattern. But besides that, very nice work.

It was live. Everything i do is once. (because i forget the song after i play it). This one i did try to memorise the cords at least. I got the insperation from watching pans labyrinth. Ive been trying to work on my left hand. Im quite weak when using it.

Good job bro.

Wow, for some reason this reminds me of the movie Forrest Gump... I know you haven't seen it, but it just does.

The woodwinds, I think, come on a little strong. You could bring down the volume a little so it would retain that tender emotion better. Also, please resolve it at the end... I would expect at least that. :-) Btw, on the parts where the winds hold out the note at the end of their phrase, I would add a pickup note to the next phrase or something like that to tie them together...

And yes, we are now brothers. XD

magnificat12 responds:

Yeah, I'll probably never finish or resolve this. Sorry. :p Thanks for the tips!

Pretty sweet

Sup Blaze?

For one, I really liked the violin ostinuto at the beggining... It wasnt really monotonous at all, it had enough voicing and instrument changes to keep it interesting. My only gripe is that maybe you should work a variation of the opening string part after the woodwinds, it would lengthen the track, and make it feel more round as a whole... restating the main idea as such...

Good work Buddy.

magnificat12 responds:

Thanks for the good advice, man!

1000th vote!

This song is simply amazing... the piano and drums create a very nice contrast. With the title, it makes me think of someone looking back on their life and saying, you know what? I may have screwed up, but it was my mistake... and i'm proud of it... very nice work.

WOOOOOOOOOO 1000th!!! <3

( and yes, that is basically the entire idea of the song you've easily just summed up in that one comment . Thank you <3)

Have a listen to the latest mistakes you may enjoy it as well.

Heres some crap.

lol. just kidding buddy... but I honestly laughed SO hard when it ended. at least resolve it. It's screaming for an accompiant... and at 1:12 the triplet arpeggios dont really fit in with the rest of it... but its a good start buddy.

BlazingDragon responds:

Yeah...The ending is a bit rough. xD But I'll see if I can fix it temporarily. Sorry, but I can't get rid of the triplets, as I like them too much. :P The next section I'm working on is even more triplets, but TWICE AS FAST! :O

Thanks for the review, though. :)

Holy Crap.

I just looked at your first submission, which I say is very good. and then this one.
And you have come a LONG way in FL for just a month... My favorite part was definanly 2:10 to the end. the guitar-like melody there is amazing... and once again your beats are really impressive, top-notch.

Some great stuff you got...

Ethalyn responds:

hey thanks man, appreciate it =D thanks for the ten ^_^

Wow

I can just feel the emotion pouring out of this... Very sad.

i love the simple chord progression going throughout the song, it makes the lyrics so much more powerful...

And for some reason, when I hear this I think about the sad part in the first shrek. Brings back memories of when i was younger...

Don't feel to down on your self to bad about the girl though... I had an instance when word got around that I liked a girl, and she said and I quote. "Why do all the freaks like me?" You wont be lonely forever buddy, someone will come along...

jackbliss responds:

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review. I'm really sorry to hear about your own girl affair. The girl I liked wasn't half as mean but it still stung me deeply when she said she prefers her career to loving me. She was just using it as an excuse. Anywayz atleast I know now I got a decent song out of it. Take care man and I hope we both can find true love some day :-)

Amazing.

Just simply amazing.

I can tell you put a LOT of work into this one... and if you didnt I'm jealous. Cause the orchaestration is very good. Lots of parts going on, that don't conflict with each other. Good use of counter-melody... The gongs at the beggining are awesome.

1:16 to 1:56 or so was really cool, I liked the music box feel of it there.

The song itself is very dramatic and at the same time very mysterious... almost like a 90's thriller movie theme when you dont know who the bad guy is until the very end.

Very Awesome.

MusicalRocky responds:

Thanks, I did put a lot, the most work out of any singular orchestral work I've done.
The orchestration was a big focus, yeah.
Yeah, the gongs weren't really on purpose, they were part of the cymbal crashes lol.
I like that part too :P Good contrasting section.
Definitely dramatic and mysterious, though it is about discovering something, could be something mysterious, large and grand. Haha that 90's movie comparison reminded me of The Usual Suspects.

Thanks for the great review!

Really good.

You think you have enough cool little things on the title? XD jk.

I enjoyed the songs laid back nature, how it flowed so well into every new section, and then when it hit the big part with the guitar at 1:21, I was in shock of the awesomeness of it all. that was definantly my favorite part...

May I ask what instrument that is at the beggining? celesta maybe? I really like it, it vaguely reminds me of a music box.

Ludzix responds:

That's... VIBES XDDDDDD
