Wow, Man.

That was an incredible piece. I was mezmerized by the beauty and sincerity of it, then the drums come in and you KNOW something is coming... Then the big part hits, and when it came it was all over for me. I fell in love with you piece. From then on it was almost perfect.

Your percussion sounds are top notch (or it may be that i'm so used to hearing free instruments with my music). the percussion writing is pretty interesting and kept my attention throughout the whole piece.

You deserve more reviews than the three you have.

Thanks Tamadrum! That was a really nice review. :) I think the mastering needs a bit of work, I can hear the song fade in and out when it gets too loud. Its great that you enjoyed my percussion too. I always worry that is my downfall.

Words can't describe...

How Inspirational this is for me my friend... After hearing the first few notes, I chose to close all the curtains, turn off the lights and all the other distractions, and just enjoy the music. This is one of those few gems I have come across in the ruff.

The melody from about 1:02 just jumps out and takes hold of your heart and doesn't let go until it's over... just beautiful.

I wish you much luck in your endeavors...

Wow, that - coming from Tamadrum?

I look up to you man, and I am just so glad you enjoy my music hopefully as much as I enjoy yours.
Thankyou so much for your kindness.

Bittersweet

Like almost all of you other music, my friend... leaves me with a feeling of bittersweet that rise in my chest.

It loops very nicely, has a good strong melody, an excellent simple chord progression... The only thing it could do with out is the rolled right hand chord at 0:57.

It vaguely reminds me of a 90's movie theme song, like Forrest Gump (I know Blaze, I say it every time), or Patch Adams. Both of which have excellent sound tracks.

BlazingDragon responds:

Out of all the songs I have composed, this is honestly one of my favorites. Probably in the top five, and I have probably written quite a few (Though most of them are short and unfinished).

I kind of liked the rolled chord, but I'll at least consider taking it out. And yes, you do relate my music to Forrest Gump too often. :P Can't say I'm familiar with Patch Adams though...

Thanks,

Awesome.

I love the piano throughout the song... I see you got away from the glitch type drums, lol. Nice change of pace for you.

It's a very relaxing song... Just makes me wanna turn off all the lights and listen.

Favorited.

nubbinownz responds:

Yes, I wanted this to be more of a relaxing dancey type song, rather than the chaotic drum beats that I usually use. Thank you very much man!

Very good

Was this recorded live? It sounds very realistic... You seem to have a very good sense of melody. It almost reminds me of one of Chopin's Nocturnes, very night like in sound, mysterious, sad, and meloncholy all at the same time... This is one of those songs that I feel my heart rise in my chest as I listen. A small thing you could've done to improve the song would be to change the left-hand accompianmant every once in awhile to get away from that same triplet pattern. But besides that, very nice work.

It was live. Everything i do is once. (because i forget the song after i play it). This one i did try to memorise the cords at least. I got the insperation from watching pans labyrinth. Ive been trying to work on my left hand. Im quite weak when using it.

Good job bro.

Wow, for some reason this reminds me of the movie Forrest Gump... I know you haven't seen it, but it just does.

The woodwinds, I think, come on a little strong. You could bring down the volume a little so it would retain that tender emotion better. Also, please resolve it at the end... I would expect at least that. :-) Btw, on the parts where the winds hold out the note at the end of their phrase, I would add a pickup note to the next phrase or something like that to tie them together...

And yes, we are now brothers. XD

magnificat12 responds:

Yeah, I'll probably never finish or resolve this. Sorry. :p Thanks for the tips!

Pretty sweet

Sup Blaze?

For one, I really liked the violin ostinuto at the beggining... It wasnt really monotonous at all, it had enough voicing and instrument changes to keep it interesting. My only gripe is that maybe you should work a variation of the opening string part after the woodwinds, it would lengthen the track, and make it feel more round as a whole... restating the main idea as such...

Good work Buddy.

Thanks for the good advice, man!

1000th vote!

This song is simply amazing... the piano and drums create a very nice contrast. With the title, it makes me think of someone looking back on their life and saying, you know what? I may have screwed up, but it was my mistake... and i'm proud of it... very nice work.

WOOOOOOOOOO 1000th!!! <3

( and yes, that is basically the entire idea of the song you've easily just summed up in that one comment . Thank you <3)

Have a listen to the latest mistakes you may enjoy it as well.

Wow!

The sound quality on this is just amazing... Very good battle type of theme here. the chanting around 2:00 was a very nice touch. the violin part as the song picks back up was very well thought out. Really susprising good use of percussion on the track... It helps everything progress very well. Thsi is gong straight to my favorites.

Heres some crap.

lol. just kidding buddy... but I honestly laughed SO hard when it ended. at least resolve it. It's screaming for an accompiant... and at 1:12 the triplet arpeggios dont really fit in with the rest of it... but its a good start buddy.

BlazingDragon responds:

Yeah...The ending is a bit rough. xD But I'll see if I can fix it temporarily. Sorry, but I can't get rid of the triplets, as I like them too much. :P The next section I'm working on is even more triplets, but TWICE AS FAST! :O

Thanks for the review, though. :)
